DAS is seeking a Cloud Engineer. This position requires a Full Scope Poly.

Job Description Summary:

  • Collaborate with our architects, engineering and development teams to design, develop, test, cloud solutions
  • Experience designing, documenting, and verifying the technology solution that meets business needs and technical requirements and follows enterprise defined guardrails, governance, and security standards for cloud deployments
  • Possess ability to develop and document operational models to operate and maintain the service design, including, but not limited to, monitoring, performance, and capabilities
  • Implement processes and tools to deploy and debug cloud initiatives successfully with best practice DevOps techniques across the entire solution development lifecycle
  • Define and create engineering design documents, test plans, diagrams, and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
  • Develop and implement re-usable cloud infrastructure modules and templates using DevSecOps practices (e.g., Infrastructure As Code, CI/CD, Agile Work Methods, Policy-as-code, secure by design)
  • Design and build templates to deliver production‑grade Cloud Infrastructure for consumers of the service
  • Contribute to architecture and design processes to ensure new services and solutions meet stakeholder requirements and expectations
  • Configure, design, and troubleshoot network architectures involving Security Groups, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, etc.
  • Automate resource provisioning and allocation processes
  • Implement cloud infrastructure solution offerings based on public cloud, private cloud, hybrid client environments, and multi-cloud environments
  • Lead code reviews
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability is sustained

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 15+ years of experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience with cloud infrastructure engineering on AWS and Azure
  • Experience with Cloud Automation Development Tool such as Git, CircleCI, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Python/Bash/Powershell Scripting
  • Experience in one or more Infrastructure or Application Development domains such as Network Engineering, IaaS Engineering, DevSecOps, and Automation Tools Engineering
  • Experience in technical design capabilities and knowledge implementing design patterns in Cloud development
  • Working experience in AWS Serverless architecture using Python, Lambda, API Gateway, ALB/ELB
  • Deep understanding of Relational DB service - RDS (i.e., Postgres, Aurora, MySql, Oracle), and DynamoDB
  • Knowledge of Identity Access Management, Cross account S3/KMS access management
  • Hands-on programming experience such as Python, Nodejs, Ansible
  • Working experience with M/L services such as Amazon SageMaker, Comprehend, Kendra, Polly, Rekognition, Textract, etc.
  • Working experience with analytics tools such as Athena, Amazon Redshift, EMR, Elasticsearch Service, Kinesis, AWS Glue
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure as code using AWS Cloud Formation and CFN Stack Sets
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies such as AWS Code Commit, Code Pipeline, Code Deploy, Bit bucket, Jenkins
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Service Catalog
  • Working experience of automation and management of a multi-account environment
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration technologies such as AWS ECS, AWS Fargate, Kubernetes
  • Familiarity of Egress/Ingress access patterns including approved networking patterns across VPCs and Regions, private links, patterns/ configurations related to Route 53, CloudFront, ALB, and subnets for SaaS products
  • Experience in cloud logging and monitoring
  • Experience with Terraform
